Over forty percent of the nationís antique stores are clustered in the Insa-dong area, and sell more valuable antiques compared to any other place in Korea.

the DEMILITARIZED ZONE has become a sort of a tourist destination. toursists can go to the observatory, one of North Koreaís infiltration tunnels, a military base, and right into the Joint Security Area (Panmunjeom) in the middle where negotiations between the two sides are held. Seoul N Tower- located on Mt Namsan offers great panoramic views of the city, and has been a symbol of Seoul. COEX MALL - is a novel entertainment facility located in the heart of Seoul with 250 commercial stores, 800 restaurants, food court, aquarium with 40000 aquatic creatures, cinema complex with 17 screens, book stores, Game Park, shops and boutiques. The largest underground shopping mall in Asia is located in this complex. The aquarium has a water tunnel where you can see sharks and other fishes swimming over head.

63 Building - is the tallest tower around Han River with a multi tourist complex, observation tower and a variety of other facilities. It has a shopping centre, restaurants, aquarium, health club, sauna and bowling centre. Going up the glass elevator to the observation tower gives a spectacular view of the Incheon Sea.

Hangang river - recreational boat cruises running through Seoul provides a retreat from the skyscrapers of the city. Riverside parks along the banks of the Han River are equipped with a host of amenities like jogging paths, outdoor swimming pools, roller-skating rinks and other sporting facilities. Floating restaurants and cafes add to the fun. Taking river cruises from riverside parks is an excellent way of enjoying the scenery of the Han River.

Dongdaemun Market - is a huge shopping area with over 30 shopping malls housing 27000 retailers and 50000 wholesalers. While shopping, you also enjoy live performances, fashion shows and other stage shows.

Nam dae mun market - is Korea's oldest open-air markets; it has existed on this spot for more than 600 years and sells virtually everything from clothes, toys, leather goods, gift items, ceramics, handicrafts, imported goods etc.

KOREAN FOLK VILLAGE - is set in a natural environment occupying 243 acres; visitors can experience authentic Korean atmosphere with 260 traditional houses and a general view of the Korean food, clothing and housing style of the past era.

Namiseon Island

It is one of the most popular tourist attractions from Seoul. It is 63 kms away from Seoul, an hourís ride by road and ferry. The landscape is famous for its tree lined roads.


Busan is Korea's second largest city and the number 1 trading port. Korea's first truly international city. Shopping in this port city has also become quite popular. Lotte Department Store, Choryang Arcade for Foreigners, Nampo-dong Street, Gukje Market, and Seomyeon market, located in the center of the city, are sought after places by foreign tourists.

Sight seeing in Busan can typically be classified into two groups: seashore and interior land sighting. Seashore sightseeing includes beach areas, islands, and Hae Ahn Park while interior land sightseeing includes downtown Busan, historical ruins, Dongnae Shrine, Busan World Cup Stadium, and Bexco Exhibition and Convention Center. Surely Busan's most charming tourist point is its beautiful sea vistas. The famous beaches of Haeundae, Gwangalli, and Songjeong are enjoyed by many. Boating, jet skies, and banana boats are just among a few of the water recreation activities visitors can take advantage of. Amnam Park, Igidae, and Haean Park offer views of nature's masterpieces. The summer months offer an array of festivals on almost every beach, while in the fall, the Jagalchi Fish market holds a cultural festival for foreign tourists. The Nakdong Estuary Seasonal Bird Migration Site is a famous tourist spot.


A city filled with cultural relics, Gyeongju dates back to the 1st century BC.

This one of a kind historical treasure of a city attracts around 8~9 million tourists a year.

Some of the most famous sites here include: Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, The National Gyeongju Museum, Daereungwon Royal Burial Grounds, Bunhwangsa Temple, Cheongseongdae Observatory, Hwangnyongsa Temple, Ahnapji Pond, Poseokjeong Watercourse, Namsan Mountain, and Bomun Lake Resort. At the 2002 World Heritage Committee gathering, Gyeongju's relics were recognized among the worlds most treasured.


It is located 1 hour by flight from Seoul. It is one of the most mysterious and beautiful islands in the world and nick named "Hawaii of the Orient". The island has Jeju Water World - located within Jejuís Worldcup stadium, is Jejuís biggest water theme park.

Teddy Bear Museum - the only one if its kind in Asia exhibits everything about Teddy Bears.

Manjang cave - is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world, and is a designated natural monument.

Bunjae Artpia- is the first bonsai park in Korea. Rare bonsai trees and garden trees are thoughtfully displayed.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (sunrise peak) - rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption about 100000 years ago. Located on the eastern side of Jeju Island, there is a huge crater measuring about 600m in diameter and 90m high on top of the peak. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown.


A major city of the east coast, Gangneung is regarded as one of Korea's top summer destinations, owing in part to its wide sandy beaches. Its well-preserved traditions, historical relics, and tourist services have made it a popular school fieldtrip spot, but history buffs may know it best as the home of the Gangneung Danoje Festival, designated a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2005. The Danoje Festival is rich with ceremonies and rituals, traditional folk games, and other major cultural attributes that have remained relatively unchanged since ancient times. International interest in the city has continued to grow since the festivalís UNESCO designation and an increasing number of tourists visit Gangneung each year.

Seoraksan National Park

Also referred to as Seolsan and Seolbongsan, the mountain was named Seorak because the snow would not melt for a long time keeping the rocks in a permanent state of white. The park is spread across 4 cities and counties: Sokcho, Inje, Goseong and Yangyang. The highest peak is Daecheongbong; to the east is OeSeorak and to the west is NaeSeorak, which is divided again into North NaeSeorak and South NaeSeorak. North NaeSeorak is composed of Bukcheon, which flows to Ingyecheon and Baekdamcheon. There are numerous valleys in NaeSeorak. Follow the Baekdamcheon valley where all the streams meet and you will reach Baekdamsa Temple, which is known for its beautiful scenery. Upstream there is Gayadong valley and Suryeomdong valley, and past Yeongsiam and Mangyeongdae there is Madeungryeong ridge (1,327m) that leads to Seorakdong. Follow Suryeomdong valley and you will reach Waryong Waterfall and Ssangpok. Further up is Bongjeongam (1,224m sea level). Once you arrive at Daecheong peak you can view the magnificent mountain range. The sunrise viewed from here is spectacular and should not be missed. South NaeSeorak directs the valley from Oknyeotang area to Hangyeryeong. Daeseung Waterfall north of Jangsudae is the most beautiful site of NaeSeorak, which is 88m high. South of Yongdaeri valley is the twelve fairy bathing spring, Oktang Falls, and Yongtang Falls, along with several other traditional relics.
