Vedic Village Resort
Vedic Village, an eco-friendly resort set in the lap of heritage. Situated in Kondungalloor (earlier known as Cranganore), a historic hamlet, which finds mention in the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, Vedic Village, is a resort surrounded by a plethora of ancient monuments.
There is a very interesting and intriguing legend about the Bhagavathy temple here. It is said that Kannagi, the heroine of a famous Tamil literary wok, Silappathikaram, who was also worshipped as the goddess of chastity, is said to have gained her ascension in Kondungalloor and is enshrined here. The St Mar Thomas church established in 52 AD and the Cheraman Juma Masjid, the first Muslim mosque in India is also in close proximity to the resort.
